OMG! It’s spooky season and I’m so excited for all of the amazing Halloween goodies this year! I’m kicking it off with this adorable printable activity set. This set is perfect for a little Flisat table setup or you can use the pieces as decor for your Little Boo’s Halloween Party. I’m doing both this year and I’m teaming up with my favorite @CharsJar_s to bring you a spooky little collaboration.
It was a day filled with whimsy, joy, and a dash of Dr. Seuss magic as we celebrated Sofie's preschool graduation with an enchanting "Oh, the Places You'll Go" party. The entire setup was a sight to behold, capturing the essence of Dr. Seuss's timeless book and creating lasting memories for all who attended.
The party venue was adorned with charming decor that brought the world of Dr. Seuss to life. A beloved copy of "Oh, the Places You'll Go" served as the centerpiece, reminding everyone of the wonderful adventures that lie ahead for these young graduates.
A fur poms banner swayed gently in the breeze, adding a touch of playfulness to the atmosphere. And right beside it, a decorative flag featuring characters from Dr. Seuss's beloved stories waved proudly, welcoming guests to this magical celebration.
As guests mingled, their eyes were drawn to a delightful bouquet of fur pins cleverly fashioned to look like Truffula trees from "The Lorax." These colorful creations added a whimsical touch and delighted both young and old alike.
Sofie and her fellow graduates were the stars of the day, and they proudly wore varsity letter patches on their tiny robes, signifying their achievements. Their pink toddler-sized caps and gowns transformed them into mini graduates, and the sight of them walking around filled with excitement was heartwarming.
No party is complete without a scrumptious treat, and the cupcakes served at Sofie's celebration were nothing short of extraordinary. The bakers outdid themselves by crafting funfetti cupcakes, capturing the vibrant essence of childhood joy. Each cupcake was topped with layers of rainbow-colored icing, making them not only visually delightful but also a true delight for the taste buds.
And the pièce de résistance? A paper straw with rainbow cotton candy perched atop each cupcake, transforming them into delightful Truffula trees straight from the pages of "The Lorax." The attention to detail was impeccable, and the kids couldn't wait to take a bite of these edible works of art.
Sofie's "Oh, the Places You'll Go" party was a resounding success, leaving a trail of enchantment and laughter in its wake. The decor brought the magic of Dr. Seuss to life, and the creative touches on the cupcakes added a whimsical twist to the celebration. As the little graduates marched into the next chapter of their lives, they carried with them the joyous memories of this heartwarming event, embracing the spirit of adventure and endless possibilities. After all, as Dr. Seuss so beautifully penned, "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose!"
This set was so much fun to design, but it was even more fun to watch Sofie play with.

It’s the perfect way to get your kiddo in the mood for back to school or for your preschooler, perhaps a way to introduce them prior to their first day of school! Dramatic play is so important for kids and Sofie had so much fun learning these classroom concepts. Pretending to write on the chalkboard, practicing her ABCs, learning the alphabet, practicing telling time on the clock and practicing the days of the week were such a blast. She was quite distracted by having the apple on the board. We also used the little cards to practice school subjects. Sofie really liked the gym card because it has all of the balls on it. She kept saying, “Milo’s ball!” We played with this little setup for about two weeks and everyday Sofie would be the teacher teaching me a new subject.
Happy National Pick Strawberries Day! We’re so lucky in that we live right next to Watsonville which is the strawberry capital of the US. And for Mother’s Day this year we took Sofie strawberry picking as a family. It was so much fun to watch her snag all of the strawberries and eat them as we went. The whole trip inspired me to design this adorable Strawberry Picking Dramatic play kit. How cute are these sensory set ups by @allthibgslambandroo and @pockets.of.sweetness!?

Have I mentioned that I love Halloween!? Okay so Halloween is definitely my favorite holiday and I’m loving all of the black and white monochrome vibes now so I had to try these little ghost pancakes. These were such a simple DIY toddler activity — I woke up this morning and decided on a whim to do it. I was able to prep it and make them all before Sofie’s morning hanger kicked in!
These little ghost pancakes were so simple to make and you don’t even need to have a steady hand to do it. I just grabbed a simple pancake recipe, plopped them on the griddle at 250, added some googley eyes and plastic spiders and bam! Spooky pancakes perfect for the holiday season.
Pancake Recipe
1 1/4 Cup Flour
1 1/2 Cup Milk
3 Tablespoons Butter Melted
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 Egg
3 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder

Okay so I got these amazing rainbow GNF colored blocks from Chars Jars Shop (use code GNF10 to save) and I’m absolutely in love. Well, I should say that Sofie is in love. So I was hoping to practice stacking, color matching, building, and sorting, but Sofie has decided that throwing them around the room the way to go! Luckily they’re super durable. I’ve been trying to have her practice with the Alphabet Placemat here by pairing colors to the letters — we’re not quite there yet. But in any case, I hope you’ve had a chance to snag one of these educational placemats from the shop. They’re so versatile! We’ve used them for learning, play dough, and during meal time. The different shapes and colors always keep Sofie entertained when it’s taking time to get dinner on the table.
